Transfer Designation-Based Scholarships

 

Deadlines:

  • All Fall Transfer Scholarships require that a student be admitted to the University by the August 1 deadline.
  • All Spring Transfer Scholarships require that a student be admitted to the University by the January 5 deadline.
  • All academic records, including final transcripts, must be submitted to the Office of Admissions by the scholarship deadline.  All supporting documentation must be submitted in the GO System by the scholarship deadline.
  • Transfer Designation-Based Scholarships are only for students transferring from a community college.

Application Information:

  • All undergraduate scholarship opportunities are in the Golden Opportunities Scholarship and Competitive Programs Application System (GO System).  To apply for Transfer Designation-Based scholarships, students use their Student ID and password to 1) complete/submit their General Application and 2) complete/submit their desired designation-based application.

PHI THETA KAPPA SCHOLARSHIP

Students must apply in the GO System by the stated deadline. Certificate or proof of membership must be submitted by the appropriate deadline via the GO System. Proof of membership includes PTK membership card or letter on letterhead from PTK advisor.

  • Value is $4,500 per year (total award $9,000 for two years; 4 fall/spring semesters)
  • Must have completed 48 credit hours, but not have exceeded 119 credit hours.
  • Must a minimum 3.25 cumulative college GPA.
  • May be combined with the Phi Theta Kappa: Officer Scholarship, the All-Academic First State/National Team Scholarship, and/or the Transfer Eagle Scout/Gold Award Scholarship.
  • May not be combined with the Community College Transfer Academic Scholarship.

PHI THETA KAPPA: OFFICER SCHOLARSHIP

Students must apply in the GO System by the stated deadline. Documentation from PTK advisor must be submitted on official letterhead by the stated deadline via the GO System explaining your active status as an officer in PTK.

  • One-time scholarship of $1,000.
  • Must have completed 48 credit hours, but not have exceeded 119 credit hours.
  • Must have a minimum 3.25 cumulative college GPA.
  • May be combined with the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, the All-Academic First State/National Team Scholarship and/or the Transfer Eagle Scout/Gold Award Scholarship.
  • May not be combined with the Community College Transfer Academic Scholarship.

ALL-ACADEMIC FIRST STATE/NATIONAL TEAM SCHOLARSHIP

Students must apply in the GO System by the stated deadline. Official certificate must be submitted by the stated deadline via the GO System. Students can also submit letter from PTK advisor on official letterhead confirming membership in All-Academic First State/National Team.

  • One-time scholarship of $1,000.
  • Must have completed 48 credit hours, but not have exceeded 119 credit hours.
  • Must have a minimum 3.25 cumulative college GPA.
  • May be combined with the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, Phi Theta Kappa: Officer Scholarship and/or the Transfer Eagle Scout/Gold Award Scholarship.
  • May not be combined with the Community College Transfer Academic Scholarship.

TRANSFER EAGLE SCOUT/GOLD AWARD SCHOLARSHIP

Students must apply in the GO System by the stated deadline. Official certificate or proof of designation must be submitted by the stated deadline via the GO System. Proof of membership includes letter on letterhead from a scout leader.

  • One-time scholarship of $1,000.
  • Must have completed 48 credit hours, but not have exceeded 119 credit hours.
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative college GPA.
  • May be combined with the Community College Transfer Academic Scholarship, Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, Phi Theta Kappa: Officer Scholarship, and/or the All-Academic First State/National Team Scholarship.
