If you are withdrawing or being withdrawn from the university, you must vacate your residence hall room within 24 hours unless special permission is granted by authorized Residence Life personnel. Students must officially withdraw from the residence hall, following the “Withdrawal from the Residence Halls” procedures found at www.usm.edu/institutional-policies/policy-stua-res-049. A student will be held liable for room and board charges beyond his/her last date of attendance if he/she does not vacate university housing within 24 hours or does not cease using the institution’s dining facilities.
The Director of Student Housing Administration is responsible for the review of this policy every four years (or whenever circumstances require immediate review).
