To see the various sections available, choose ACADEMICS, and filter to the appropriate TERM, CAMPUS, SUBJECT, etc.
Any column can be sorted by clicking on the header. If you want to find classes without a room, click on the Room column and the blank fields will come to the top. The combined classes are listed as 'cross-listed' in Astra:
When searching for rooms, click + on the room column to expand:
This will expand the column to show the room region, capacity and room type:
If an event has already been scheduled, and the time and/or date need to be adjusted, drop the assigned room first, before making the day/time change. Then re-assign the room. This will prevent the room from being double booked.
Classes that have multiple meetings (such as 5W1 classes that meet TTH and MWF), the room assignment will need to be made for each meeting row. Only assigning a room to one row will not assign the room to both:
If a class needs the room to be listed as 'arranged', it must have a day and time listed. When searching for a room, check 'show shared rooms' to allow the 'arranged 1' room to show up. (you may need to click the room file column to sort alphabetically and bring this room to the top):
When departments are setting up and event, the Customer will be listed as the college. Most, but not all, faculty/staff are listed under their college. To find the contact person for the event, select the college they are in:
