What to expect

A tutor will work with you, asking you questions to help you clarify your thoughts and determine a way to proceed. We will not write a paper for you or “fix” errors for you because we believe your writing should be your own. We will help you find ways to develop your ideas more fully and express them more effectively.  Our one-on-one writing instruction is designed to help you become a more effective writer.

How do I use the Writing Center?

Make an appointment using the online scheduler today.  Appointments fill quickly!  Walk-ins are also available depending on tutor availability.  Call (601) 266-4821 or stop by The Writing Center (located on the first floor of Cook Library just past Starbucks).
