Office of Community and Belonging
Hispanic Heritage Month
Page Content
National Hispanic Heritage Month traditionally honors the cultures and contributions of both Hispanic and Latino Americans as we celebrate heritage rooted in all Latin American countries. From September 15th to October 15th, the Office of Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement and our Gulf Park campus partners, share history, heritage, and accomplishments of Hispanic and Latino Americans of past and present.
The goal of Hispanic Heritage Month is to give students access to events and information to help them become more culturally aware and competent with regard to the Latinx community and prominent figures and moments in the history and culture. By providing events centered on educational, social, and cultural aspects related to Hispanic Heritage Month, we hope to help those from other backgrounds learn more about and become advocates for the Latinx community.
