COURSES FOR STUDENTS
Several federal laws require training be provided by students including Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act of 1986 and federal law also requires that colleges and universities must provide their students with training on sexual violence prevention in their campus communities.
Alcohol and Drugs for Students
Duration: 30 to 45 minutes
Objectives:
- Recall basic definitions of commonly used terms
- Distinguish between drug and alcohol facts and myths
- Describe how various drugs affect the body
- Understand laws regarding substance abuse
Title IX Preventing Sexual Misconduct for Students
Duration: 30 minutes
Objectives:
- Identify which types of behaviors constitute sexual misconduct
- Learn practical information on how to respond and prevent misconduct, including bystander intervention aimed at helping to create and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
