College of Education and Human Sciences Awards of Excellence

Each April, exceptional faculty and staff are recognized for outstanding work through six awards:

Recognizes a pre-tenure faculty member who has made early and significant contributions in the areas of teaching, research and service and who shows potential for sustained excellence in each of these areas. Faculty must demonstrate excellence across all three areas and should be in first four years of working at USM. Visiting and adjunct faculty are not eligible.

Recognizes a faculty member for unusually significant and meritorious achievement in teaching and outstanding mentorship that fosters and encourages the professional and/or academic growth of students. Any full-time member of the corps of instruction is eligible. Visiting and adjunct faculty are not eligible.
