Director, Center for Molecular and Cellular Biosciences Core Facility

Bio

The Center for Molecular and Cellular Biosciences (CMCB) Core Facility at USM contains a diversified set of instrumentation for microscopic, fluorescent, radioactive, and chemiluminescent detection. Core personnel provide training and education on biomedical instrumentation, as well as offer support for Mississippi researchers by providing experimental design consultation and access to resources. The facility houses several microscopes. including a scanning confocal microscope with STED super resolution capability, fluorescent Inverted microscope, and fluorescent stereoscope. The core also houses a variety of other imaging, genomic, spectrophotometric, and general laboratory instruments. Core Facility Director Dr. Jonathan Lindner provides expertise in microscopy, developmental and molecular biology, and biochemistry.
