Batesville Student Named College of Health Ambassador at Southern Miss

Jennie Thomas of Batesville, Miss., was selected to serve as a College of Health Ambassador for the 2010-11 academic year at The University of Southern Mississippi. 

Students are selected to represent the College of Health as an Ambassador based on the student's academic achievement and leadership qualities. Ambassadors represent the college at a variety of campus and community events and are dedicated to expanding the College of Health by increasing the college student body and promoting health and excellence through research, teaching, and service.

Thomas is a senior nutrition and dietetics major and chemistry minor and the daughter of John and Karen Thomas. She is an honors college presidential scholar and ambassador and a member of Eagle Connection, the Student Dietetic Association and Alpha Epsilon Delta Pre-Professional Society where she serves as president.
