Security Professionals to Share Expertise, Swap Ideas on Jan. 19 at Industry Day

An impressive group of security professionals are scheduled to deliver addresses as part of comprehensive Industry Day set for Jan. 19, 2011 at the SAIC McLean Conference Center in McLean, Va.

The National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) at The University of Southern Mississippi is hosting the Industry Day event which serves as a conference for senior security personnel, venue operations staff, sports domain subject matter experts and solution manufacturers and designers to openly communicate and share information regarding current and future operational needs.

Primary speakers include the following:

  • Mark Bodenschatz is associate athletic director for facilities and operations at Penn State University and the Director of Game Day Operations at Beaver Stadium. He also serves as Facilities Coordinator for Intercollegiate athletics and is responsible for capital planning and major maintenance.
  • Dane Dodd is the Corporate National Trainer for Contemporary Services Corporation. In this capacity, he prepares, delivers and evaluates training for more than 40 CSC branch offices throughout North America and a number of independent clients.
  • Dr. Alysia M. Sagi-Dolev is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Qylur Security Systems, a homeland security company specializing in the development of advanced fusion based screening solutions for high people flow public venues.
  • Judith Guido is chairwoman and founder of Guido & Associates, a business management company. She also serves on the board of directors and is an advisor to the Yellowstone Landscape Group, which is the seventh largest professional landscape management company in the United States.

“We are fortunate to have such a strong lineup of featured speakers. Their expertise ranges from advanced person screening to facilities design, physical security and emergency preparedness,” said Steve Miller, director, systems integration at NCS4. “The insight they will present will be very valuable for the attending solution providers and end users as we study effective ways to address these important issues.”
