The University of Southern Mississippi Office of Career Services has been awarded a $2,000 grant from Northrop Grumman Corporation to fund the fall 2010 and spring 2011 Northrop Grumman Sponsored Etiquette Dinners on its Hattiesburg campus.

The dinners are offered through Career Services and are held on campus twice a year as part of preparing students for the workforce. Each participant is presented a four-course meal in a formal dinner setting where they participate in etiquette training from a certified etiquette consultant. It's an opportunity to learn skills which are often necessary in a business setting.

“We are thrilled to have received this funding,” said Rusty Anderson, Southern Miss Career Services director. “These etiquette dinners provide students with an opportunity to learn how to conduct themselves in a professional business environment and equip them with important skills that could help them stand out in the eyes of potential employers.”
