International students attending The University of Southern Mississippi participated in International Education Week activities Thursday on the Hattiesburg campus. The day's events included information booths about the students' native countries, a lunch featuring international cuisine, a geography IQ quiz, viewing of an award-winning foreign film and many other activities.

International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Departments of State and Education, designed to celebrate international culture on university and college campuses worldwide. It also promotes the many advantages international study and exchange programs offer to students.
