Ed Said, Southern Miss Alum Creator Coming to Oak Grove Primary School

“Ed Said,” a new Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) puppet created by University of Southern Mississippi School of Mass Communication and Journalism graduate Cathy “CJ” Burks, will visit with Oak Grove Primary School students Tuesday, Sept. 13 at 7:40 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. 

The visit is part of the Ed Said “Moving with Fruits and Vegetables Tour.” Burks is scheduled to join Ed for his visit to the school.

Ed Said is a Web-based series aimed at encouraging elementary school children to eat healthy foods and exercise.  Ed uses raps and rhymes to teach children healthy eating habits and encourage them to be active.  To see Ed's music videos and webisodes, download ringtones, and access educational tools, visit EdSaid.org.
