Grenada Student Selected for Whos Who at Southern Miss

Christina Gladney

Christina Gladney of Grenada, Miss., has been named to 2010-11 Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities at The University of Southern Mississippi.

Gladney, a community health sciences major, is the daughter of Casandra Perry and the granddaughter of Bobbie Allen. She is a member of the African American Student Association and serves as a College of Health Ambassador. Among her campus activities she has also served as president of Alpha Lambda Delta, vice president and parliamentarian of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., president of Eagle Ambassadors, president of the Student Health Advisory Committee and community service chair for the Future Black Law Student Association. 

Gladney was one of 40 students at Southern Miss selected for this prestige award.  Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities is the highest award the academic community bestows. Students are chosen based on the following criteria: grade point average, community involvement, future leadership ability and/or potential and participation and leadership within school organizations and extracurricular activities.
