Gulf Coasts Top Female Leaders to Lead Panel Discussion Oct. 27

LONG BEACH, Miss. – Top female leaders from industries throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast will take part in a panel discussion at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 27.

The panel discussion, “Women Leaders of the Gulf Coast,” will be held in the Fleming Education Center auditorium. In discussing their successes and challenges, panelists will share their journeys to their current leadership positions and answer audience questions.

Panelists include:

• Connie Rocko, Harrison County Supervisor

• Colonel Maureen J. Smith, Keesler AFB

• Wendy McDonald, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Bay-Waveland

• Judge Margaret Alfonso, Harrison County Youth Court

• Rev. Sheila Cumbest, St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs

• Rebecca Powers, co-anchor for WLOX News
