Live Radio Show of South Mississippi Music Returns to Saenger Theatre

South Mississippi musicians will showcase their talents at Roots Reunion, a live radio show, from 7- 9 p.m. Saturday, April 16 in Hattiesburg's Historic Saenger Theatre.

Created to provide a venue for Mississippi's traditional performers of varying musical styles and talents, this segment of Roots Reunion will feature seven acts.

Artists include Bentonia bluesman Jimmy “Duck” Holmes; Legacy with Máirtín de Cógáin (Irish and Celtic); The Larry Wallace Band (Bluegrass); fiddle and acoustic guitarist duo Bill Ellison and Temperance Babcock; Patchwork String Band (Country and Bluegrass); and The Piney Woods School Cotton Blossom Singers (Gospel and Spirituals).

The University of Southern Mississippi's Center for Oral History and Cultural Heritage, School of Music and Entertainment Industry program present this show bi-annually at no charge.
