McComb Students Selected for Whos Who at Southern Miss

Three students from Mccomb have been named to 2010-11 Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities at The University of Southern Mississippi.

The students are as follows:

·         Arlicia McGhee, a English major, is the daughter of Mary McGhee. She is a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society, Order of Omega, Greek Seekers and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. where she serves as treasurer.

·         LanChasica Alexander, a nursing major, is the daughter of Hattie and Arthur Simmons and Willie Alexander. She is a member of Golden Key International Honor Society, Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society and Tau Sigma International Honor Society. Among her campus activities she also serves as a College of Health Ambassador and second vice president of the Student Nurses Association.

·         Meghan Authement, a marketing major, is the daughter of Michael and Kristie Authement. She is a member of Order of Omega Honor Society, Kappa Delta Sorority, Student Government Association, Catholic Student Association and The Legacy. 

There were 40 students at Southern Miss selected for this prestige award.  Who's Who Among American Colleges and Universities is the highest award the academic community bestows. Students are chosen based on the following criteria: grade point average, community involvement, future leadership ability and/or potential and participation and leadership within school organizations and extracurricular activities.
