Media production students mini-documentary is finalist for regional Emmy

Two media production majors from The University of Southern Mississippi School of Mass Communication and Journalism were finalists in the Student Production Excellence category at the 2011 National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Southeast Emmy Awards in Atlanta.
James Parker, a May 2011 graduate from McComb, Miss. and Erin Smith, a senior from Florence, Miss., completed the project in their capstone course with video production professor Joey Goodsell. Their mini-documentary, “World in a Room,” examined the set-design process in the Southern Miss Department of Theatre and Dance.
