Public Health Symposium Nov. 3 at Southern Miss Gulf Park Campus

The University of Southern Mississippi's Department of Community Health Sciences and Southern Mississippi Area Health Education Center is hosting the public health symposium, “Global Change, Global Health,” Thursday, Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. – noon in the Fleming Education Center auditorium on the university's Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. 

This annual event, held the last few years in Hattiesburg, has now been extended to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The symposium, which is free and open to the public, will feature the following speakers: Dr.Michael Forster, dean of the Southern Miss College of Health; Dr.Maureen Lichtveld, professor and chair at the Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine; Jim Craig, director of health protection for the Mississippi State Department of Health; and Jerry Coleman, instructor of geography at Southern Miss Gulf Coast.
