Southern Miss College of Health Initiates Visibility Campaign to Spur Enrollment

The University of Southern Mississippi's College of Health recently began a public relations campaign with the goal of increasing visibility and understanding of the programs and courses offered.
Referred to as the “College of Health Top 20,” the campaign aims to inform students, faculty, staff, and alumni of the top reasons to become part of the College of Health.
Dr. Michael Forster, dean of the College of Health, describes the campaign as, “an important means of showing the enormous success of the College year after year, and a way to invite students to become part of the College family by enrolling in one of our outstanding programs.”
For students, the campaign encourages enrollment in one of the various programs by promoting the continued outlook for growth of healthcare careers and the high percentage of students who have obtained jobs in their respective career field within only months of graduation.
For faculty and staff, the campaign shows the excellence that the college's researchers and professors maintain through growth in external funding, excellence in education, and a strong advisement and student support platform.
For alumni and friends, promotion of the college's centers and institutes such as The Children's Center for Communication and Development, DuBard School for Language Disorders and Family Network Partnership help to show how the college focuses on community partnerships as an outlet for educational training and community support.
The campaign began on Sept.15 with the College of Health Convocation. It will consist of yard signs and posters, located in high traffic outdoor areas and classrooms on both the Hattiesburg and Gulf Park campuses. In addition, alumni and friends will be included in the outreach with ways that they can partner with the College of Health and continue the tradition for success in their academic program.
