LONG BEACH, Miss. – The Gulf Coast Library at The University of Southern Mississippi will present the free community workshop, “Learn How to Use Microsoft Office,” Thursday, Sept. 29, from 3 – 4 p.m. in the library room 213 on the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach.

As part of the library's “60 Minutes to Success” initiative, this one-hour session will teach participants how to use charts, spreadsheets, presentations and word processing skills. These free learning sessions are geared toward enhancing and improving social and professional skills.

All workshops are conducted by professional library staff and registration is not required. Most workshops rotate and will be held again throughout the fall semester. Other workshops include learning how to take tests online, learning how to use databases to search for grants, and using electronic books online.
