Southern Miss Hattiesburg Staffers Win Awards at CPRAM Conference

Members of The University of Southern Mississippi Office of University Communication staff, as well as other staff members from various units across campus, took home awards from the annual College Public Relations Association of Mississippi (CPRAM), held in May in Natchez, Miss.

Award winners and the categories they placed in are as follows:

·         First Place in PR Campaign to Jana Bryant, Beth Taylor and Shelia White for “University Communications and the BP Oil Spill”

·         Third Place in Web Page Senior Division to Aaron Green, Jana Bryant, Jay Gunn, AnzieLaRosa, Melanie Gardner, and Geoff LoCicero for “www.usm.edu

·         FirstPlace in Multi-Media Presentation Senior Division to Stephen Rouse, Melanie Gardner, Whitney Miller Coll and Jerry Santos for “Convocation Year in Review”

·         Second Place in Multi-Media Presentation Senior Division to Melanie Gardner, Jerry Santos, Stephen Rouse, Kelly Estes, and Erin Dornan for “Student Life”

·         First Place in Television News Story Senior Division to Beth Taylor, Stephen Rouse and Tearanny Street for “Oil Spill Threatens Archaeology Dig”

·         First Place in Advertisements Senior Division to Melanie Gardner, Heather Graves, Kelly Dunn, and Whitney Miller Coll for “Centennial Gold”

·         Second Place in Special Publications Senior Division to Whitney Miller Coll, Jay Dean and Rebecca Smart Montague for “Bringing the World to Mississippi – Symphony Orchestra”

·         Second Place in Admissions and Recruitment Senior Division to Melanie Gardner, Susan Scott and Brittney Westbrook for “Find Your Place”

·         First Place in Viewbook Senior Division to Whitney Miller Coll, Susan Scott and May Molina for “Southern Miss One Book”

·         Second Place in Feature Story Senior Division to Van Arnold for “Creative Marketing Class Project”

·         First Place in News Story Senior Division to Beth Taylor for “Madeline Albright Visit”
