The Southern Miss Gulf Coast Civic Chorale will perform “The Music of Rodgers and Hammerstein,” at two concerts in the Fleming Education Center auditorium at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. The concerts will be held Friday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 29 at 3 p.m.

The civic chorale will perform music from the most famous musical duo of all time. Selections will include Oklahoma!, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I and The Sound of Music. Songs will be performed by the full choir with solos and small ensembles.

Both concerts are free and open to the public. Celebrating its 17th year at Southern Miss, the chorale serves as a community outreach program welcoming members of all ages throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast. More than 80 members sing in the ensemble, which is led by John Flanery, assistant choral director at Southern Miss.
