College of Health Hosts Artificial Nutrition and Hydration Program

The College of Health at The University of Southern Mississippi is sponsoring the Hospice Foundation of America's “Artificial Nutrition and Hydration Program” on Wednesday, Oct. 24, from 9-11 a.m. in Room 101 of the Trent Lott Center. 

The program will explore medical, legal, ethical issues and communication barriers that surround ANH.  It will emphasize the need for end-of-life provider organization to have clear and transparent policies on ANH and to offer training to staff and education for families to minimize family misunderstanding and discord as well as moral distress and anguish of staff. 

This program is sponsored by the College of Health and the Center on Aging at The University of Southern Mississippi.
