An information session will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 6 - 7 p.m. for persons interested in the master's program in counseling and personnel services, offered through the University of Southern Mississippi's Department of Educational Studies and Research. The meeting will be in Owings-McQuagge Hall, room 102 on the Hattiesburg campus.

This graduate program, which can be completed in one year through full-time enrollment, prepares students for entry or mid-level career opportunities in student affairs at colleges and universities. Program highlights include:

*Understanding how theory can be applied in a real-world student affairs context

*Examination of current issues in higher education and student affairs

*Gaining real-world experiences via practicum sites across campus

In addition to faculty who will be present to answer questions about the program, a panel presentation will feature current students discussing their experiences in the program.
