Gaudet Recognized with Inaugural LSU Alumnus Award

Dr. Cyndi Huff Gaudet, director of the Jack and Patti Phillips Workplace Learning and Performance Institute at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast and professor of human capital development, was honored at the recent Louisiana State University Spring Gala where she received the LSU 2012 Alumnus Award of Excellence from the School of Human Resource Education and Workforce Development.

Gaudet, a 1991 graduate of LSU, was recognized with this inaugural alumni award for outstanding achievements in human resource education and workforce development. She has presented professional papers at more than 100 regional, national, and international conferences; published more than 75 articles, book chapters, or monographs; and her $5 million-funded research has garnered national recognition from organizations including NASA, the U.S. Department of Labor and the Southern Growth Policies Board. 

In 1997, Gaudet joined Southern Miss to develop innovative programs focusing on human resource development. Graduate programs designed and developed under her leadership include the doctoral degree in human capital development and the master's degree in workforce training and development. Gaudet earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Southern Miss in 1976 and 1988, respectively. She earned her Ph.D. in human resource education and workforce development from LSU in 1991.
