Hattiesburg City Council Proclaims Sept. 15 Fill It To The Top Day

Members of the Hattiesburg City Council passed a resolution on Tuesday, Sept. 4 declaring Sept. 15 as "Fill it to the Top Day" to coincide with The University of Southern Mississippi's home-opening football game of the 2012 season.

City officials presented the proclamation to Southern Miss Athletics Director Jeff Hammond and other University representatives during a special ceremony at City Hall. The Golden Eagles open the home portion of the new season at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 15 against Conference USA rival East Carolina.

In the months leading up to the 2012 season, the Southern Miss Athletics Department launched a “Fill it to the Top” campaign for the home opener at M.M. Roberts Stadium. For more information or to purchase tickets, call 601.266.5017.
