Institute for Disability Studies to Hold Fair Housing/Homeownership Workshop

The University of Southern Mississippi's Institute for Disability Studies will sponsor a free, one-day joint fair housing/homeownership workshop on Tuesday, June 19, at 5:30 p.m. at the West Point City Hall (2^nd Floor) located at 204 Commerce Street in West Point, Miss.

The workshop will focus on fair housing, housing discrimination, the housing rights of individuals, how to file a housing complaint and other fair housing information. Additionally, an IDS housing counselor will provide a presentation on homeownership. Light refreshments will be provided.

The workshop is presented by IDS' HousingSmart project, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which works to ensure equal opportunities in housing and to increase homeownership for Mississippians with disabilities.
