Katrina Research Center Invites Community to Commemoration Event

The Katrina Research Center at The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast invites the Mississippi Gulf Coast community to a Hurricane Katrina commemoration event featuring the students of Biloxi School District who contributed to the book, “The Storm: Students of Biloxi, Mississippi, Remember Hurricane Katrina.”
The event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 29 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. in the Katrina Research Center, located on the third floor of the Southern Miss Gulf Coast Library on the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. Southern Miss Gulf Coast Vice President Frances Lucas, along with students, faculty and administrators from the Biloxi School District, will take part in the commemoration event.
