McArn Completes Southern Miss ROTC Program

Clyde McArn of Seminary, Miss. recently received a second lieutenant commission into the U.S. Army after completing the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program at The University of Southern Mississippi. ROTC helps train college students to become an officer in a branch of the U.S. military.

McArn graduated from Southern Miss with a degree in history, earning the Department of History's Gonzales Award for the highest grade point average among graduates of the program. He will serve with the ordnance corps with reserve duty in the Mississippi Army National Guard.

McArn is married to Sherry McArn and they have three children: Tyler, Sean and Cullen.
