Rattler Ramble 5K and Runners High Kids Fun Run Oct. 27 at Lake Thoreau

The University of Southern Mississippi's Lake Thoreau Environmental Center will celebrate its grand opening Saturday, Oct. 27 with the Rattler Ramble 5K and Runners High Kids Fun Run beginning with check-in at 9 a.m. at the center. The race will start at 10 a.m. and refreshments and music will follow the event at the center.
Registration fees are $15 for students and $25 general. The Fun Run is free. Age group categories for male and female include 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+. Prizes will be awarded to overall category winners and for best costume.
