Southern Miss Faculty Members Present Workshop on Ethics at Conference

Sarah Garrison, visiting instructor and Pat Sims, visiting associate professor in The University of Southern Mississippi Department of Child and Family Studies, presented the workshop “Ethical Decisions Related to Confidentiality and Family Systems” recently at the 24^th annual Southern Christian Services for Children and Youth, Inc. Conference in Meridian, Miss.

The workshop was for mental health professionals and focused on ethical dilemmas and the decision-making process when working with family systems. Garrison and Sims and engaged workshop participants in applying an ethical decision-making model to clinical problems commonly experienced in the mental health field.
