Southern Miss Gulf Park Campus Employees Honored for Founders Day

LONG BEACH, Miss. – The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus celebrated the university's Founders' Day with a reception honoring employees for continuous service of 10 and 20 years to Southern Miss. In recognition of their service, honored employees received a commemorative pin from the university.

Gulf Park campus employees were recognized by Southern Miss Gulf Coast Vice President and Campus Executive Officer Frances Lucas (sixth from left).

Honored employees include, from left to right, Michele Harris, instructor of nursing, 10 years of service; Dr. Julie Cwikla, associate professor of mathematics, 10 years of service; Linda Jordan, assistant to the dean, 20 years of service; Dr. Tom Lansford, academic dean, 10 years of service; Judy Isbell, director of web services, 10 years of service; Janice Berthelot, switchboard operator and receptionist, 10 years of service; and Janeal McKee, student services coordinator, 20 years of service. Not pictured are 20-year service pin recipient Wendell Ricky Shaw, patrol officer; 10-year service pin recipients Auxiliadora Arana-Sanchez, instructor of Spanish; Dr. David Butler, associate professor of international development; Dr. Allan Eickelmann, instructor of philosophy and religion; and Sara Powell, instructor of nursing.
