Southern Miss Nurse Anesthesia Program Plans Information Sessions

The new Nurse Anesthesia Program in The University of Southern Mississippi School of Nursing will conduct a series of information sessions, beginning next month and running into April of 2013.
In these sessions, the faculty of the Nurse Anesthesia Program will provide a short presentation that highlights the admission criteria, application process and program overview. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask individual questions following the presentation.
Information sessions will be held on the following dates from 4-6 p.m. in Room 118 in the School of Nursing.

- Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012
- Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012
- Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012
- Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013
- Tuesday, March 5, 2013
- Tuesday, April 2, 2013
The new program will include 36 consecutive months of study and award a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. School of Nursing officials hope to receive final approval from the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs in October with classes set to begin in January 2013.
