Southern Miss Ranked Among Best College Football Campuses

When it comes to the best college football campuses in the United States, The University of Southern Mississippi ranks among the country's finest, according to a recent assessment by online sports media publication Bleacher Report.

Southern Miss checked in at No. 50 in the rankings – one of only two Mississippi schools (Ole Miss at No. 9) to make the list. Joining Southern Miss as the only Conference USA members to garner a Top-50 ranking was Rice at No. 15.

Bleacher Report offered the following observation about the Hattiesburg campus: “Southern Mississippi's football history is rich and highlighted with upsets of major programs throughout the years. The Golden Eagles can compete with the big boys when it comes to campus amenities. The Hattiesburg campus is attractive and has 180 buildings packed on the 300 acres that Brett Favre once roamed.”

The Southern Miss football program is celebrating its 100^th birthday this year with a series of commemorative events.
