Members of Student Government Association (SGA) at The University of Southern Mississippi recently adopted a new initiative designed to create greater awareness among students about the SGA's role on campus.

SGA President Jazmyne Butler, a senior from Jackson, Miss., points out that the “Your Opinion Matters Outreach” initiative served as a opportunity to reach out and be visible to the student body.

“We took suggestions, advertised for our upcoming events and told students how to get involved with SGA,” said Butler.
