Nine south Mississippi lawmakers visited the DuBard School for Language Disorders at The University of Southern Mississippi on Friday, Feb. 3. They legislators toured the school and learned about the services the school offers to children with severe communication disorders.

Eighty children, from approximately 20 school districts, are served in DuBard School's full-time enrollment program each year. The school, which opened in 1962, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
