University Police Receive Continued Accreditation from CALEA

The University of Southern Mississippi University Police Department (UPD) received a certificate of accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) recently during a ceremony held in Mobile, Ala. The accreditation designation, the second in a row earned by Southern Miss UPD, means it has satisfactorily completed a continuous process of thorough agency wide self-evaluation, concluded by an exacting outside review of a team of independent assessors.
