Work Progressing on Pedestrian Corridor on Hattiesburg Campus

Work is underway on a new pedestrial pathway, located between Joseph Greene Hall, the Liberal Arts Building and the International Center.

Development of a multi-use pathway on The University of Southern Mississippi Hattiesburg campus is  underway. It is located between  the Liberal Arts Building, International Center and Joseph Greene Hall.

The project, funded in part with a $675,000 Transportation Enhancement Grantfrom the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT), is a pedestrian corridor that will accommodate walking, jogging and cycling. It is Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant and will feature brick paving, decorative lighting, landscaping and irrigation, benches, bike racks, trash receptacles and emergency call stations.
