Barnes & Noble Bookstore Has New Home on Southern Miss Gulf Park Campus

Barnes & Noble, the official bookstore for The University of Southern Mississippi, has a new location on the university's Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. The new 1,470-square-foot bookstore is now located in Hardy Hall and features a more expanded area for general university merchandise.
“We are so pleased to have a beautiful, new facility that lends itself to the university's learning environment, as well as offering a wonderful shopping experience for Southern Miss alumni and supporters on the Mississippi Gulf Coast,” said Barnes & Noble manager Kathleen Hayman.
When Hurricane Katrina devastated the Southern Miss Gulf Park campus in 2005, the bookstore moved from its location in the Administration Building to temporary facilities. Despite being housed in these facilities, Barnes & Noble continued to provide students with course materials for their classes.
With the expanded general merchandise area, Barnes & Noble now has a larger selection of Southern Miss insignia, clothing items and gifts. In addition to bookstore sales being reflected on both campuses, customers are also able to purchase items online at www.usm.bncollege.com and have them delivered to the Gulf Park campus. Sales and specials can also be found on the bookstore's Facebook page at “Barnes and Noble @ Southern Miss.”
Barnes & Noble is located in Hardy Hall, near the Friendship Oak and the university's Office of Admissions and Department of Student Services. The bookstore is currently open Monday – Thursday 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
