Essentials in Human Resource Management Course Set for June 20-21

The University of Southern Mississippi Office of Professional Development and Educational Outreach will hold the Essentials in Human Resource Management Professional Certificate CourseJune 20-21 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. on the Hattiesburg campus.
Small business owners, office managers, individuals responsible for the human resource functions in their companies, new and junior human resource practitioners and individuals who are investigating human resource management as a career will benefit from attending.
Participants will learn how to reduce the risk of potential high-cost litigation, become more effective at handling human resource issues, and strengthen employee management skills.
“The course was very informative. I learned so much information that I didn't know,” said Samantha Deal, past participant and human resource assistant/payroll clerk with Quality Manufacturing Group, Columbia, Miss.
The course will cover current real-life HR issues and topics including human resource management, employment law, recruitment and selection, compensation and benefits, employee development and performance management.
The cost to attend is $369, if paid before June 7. After that date, the cost is $419. Course materials are included.
