Gulf Coast English Department to present JFK 50 Years Gone: Fall 2013 Film Series

As the nation remembers President John F. Kennedy's assassination 50 years ago, the Department of English on The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Park campus will present the “JFK 50 Years Gone: Fall 2013 Film Series” with a discussion and two-part screening of Oliver Stone's JFK.

The film series, which will address both Kennedy's legacy and conspiracies surrounding his assassination, will be presented in room 204 of the library on the Gulf Park campus in Long Beach. The first part of the film will be presented Tuesday, Nov. 12 and the second part of the film will be presented the following week on Tuesday, Nov. 19. Both film parts will begin at 6:30 p.m. Following the screening, Dr. Damon Franke, associate professor of English, will lead the discussion with an emphasis on facts.
