Soldiers Learn About Southern Miss Centers Masters Degree Program

The recent monthly training assembly of the 184th Sustainment Command saw Dr. Tulio Sulbaran, director of the Center for Logistics, Trade and Transportation (CLTT) at The University of Southern Mississippi share information about the on-line Master of Science degree program offered at the University.
The information presented by Sulbaran gave soldiers who attended insight into the career training opportunities offered through Southern Miss' Center for Logistics, Trade and Transportation.
The master's program is an interdisciplinary on-line/executive program comprised of 10 courses that can be completed in one year. Its coursework, offered in a flexible hybrid format that includes online and in-person learning experiences, provides its graduates with the tools and critical understanding of supply chain management, economics, finances and the practice of contemporary global air, maritime and land transportation systems.
Sulbaran said he was pleased with the response from soldiers interested in the program at the information session, and hopes more will take advantage of the program's opportunities that allow them to advance their education while carrying out their military duties.
Col. Mark Prine, the 184th's Deputy Commander noted that, “the Master's program offered through the CLTT is a great way for military logisticians to apply their military training and experience towards a civilian degree and career.”
Added Capt. Andrew Adcock, Headquarters Company Commander, 184th ESC, “This is a unique opportunity for my Soldiers to apply their hard-earned military expertise to a local program that is on the cutting edge of logistics education. We are both honored and excited at the potential of our unit's continued involvement in the CLTT program.”
“This is a great opportunity for our soldiers to not only advance their civilian career but to also benefit their military career in the process by earning a degree,” said Sgt. First Class Michael White, Company Readiness NCO, 184th ESC.
The CLTT provides a competitive advantage to logistics and supply chain industry and government agencies through its multidisciplinary activities in Logistics, Trade and Transportation. The CLTT offers an online Master of Science in Logistics, Trade and Transportation (MSLTT), applied research activities and networking events.
