Careers in chiropractic medicine will be the topic of a presentation set for Thursday, Nov. 6 at 5:10 p.m. at The University of Southern Mississippi in the Bobby Chain Technology Building, room 102.

Mackel J. Harris, director of multicultural relations for Life University in Marietta, Ga., will speak to students about chiropractic medicine, the admissions process and the diversity of options available to students. His visit is coordinated by the Southern Miss College of Science and Technology and the Premedical and Health Professions Office. The office is housed in the College of Science and Technology and is located in the Dean's Office complex in the Chain Technology Building (TEC 103).

The Preprofessional Office helps students prepare for careers in a variety of health-care fields by examining strategies for success and offering assistance with course selection, schedule planning and the application process.

Chiropractic science focuses on the relationship between the structure and function of the human body as that relationship affects the restoration and preservation of health. Life University has become the largest college of chiropractic in the world. For additional information about Life University, visit http://www.life.edu.
