Institute for Disability Studies to Hold Free Fair Housing Workshops in Gulfport, Moss Point and Picayune

The University of Southern Mississippi Institute for Disability Studies (IDS) will hold three free fair housing workshops along the Gulf Coast in March.

Workshops schedules are as follows:

  • Gulfport - Wednesday, March 12, 3:30-5 p.m.

Gulfport Public Library, 1708 25th Ave.

  • Moss Point – Friday, March 14, 12-1:30 p.m.

Ina Thompson Moss Point Library, 4119 Bellview St.

  • Picayune – Monday, March. 24, 12-1:30 p.m.

Margaret Reed Crosby Memorial Library, 900 Goodyear Blvd.

The workshops will focus on fair housing, housing discrimination, the housing rights of individuals, how to file a housing complaint and other fair housing information. Light refreshments will be provided. Workshop materials are available in alternate formats on request. To register for the free workshops, call 1-866-883-4474.

The workshop is presented by IDS' Mississippi Fair Housing Initiative Program, through funding provided by the Mississippi Development Authority.
