Martin Luther King Jr. Prayer Breakfast set for Jan. 20 on Hattiesburg Campus

The Mu Gamma Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will host the 8th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Interracial and Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast Monday, Jan. 20 beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the Thad Cochran Center Ballrooms on The University of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg campus.

The Mu Gamma Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will host the 8th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Interracial and Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast Monday, Jan. 20 beginning at 7:30 a.m. in the Thad Cochran Center Ballrooms on The University of Southern Mississippi's Hattiesburg campus.

Admission is free, and donations are welcomed to help support the annual event. Rev. Dwayne Higgason of Grace Temple Church in Hattiesburg is the scheduled keynote speaker.

“Dr. King created a spirit of unity in America and throughout the world that centered on universal love,” said Dr. Eddie Holloway, dean of students at Southern Miss and coordinator of the program. “We will celebrate his life and significance to mankind at this special event.”
