Environment, Education Focus of Sept. 9 University Forum Program

The University of Southern Mississippi's fall 2014 University Forum begins Tuesday, Sept. 9 with James Inabinet, director of the La Terre Bioregional Center. Inabinet will present "Human Ecology, Pathways to Sustainability, and the Earth Circle Exhibit.”

The program will be held in the Thad Cochran Center, Ballroom II, at 6:30 p.m. on the Hattiesburg campus. Admission is free and the public is invited.

Founded in 1989, the La Terre Bioregional Center is located in Hancock County, Miss. with the mission of developing and implementing programs and creating viable, sustainable models in natural, human, and cultural ecology. It has established outdoor learning laboratories focusing on math and science, as well as nature trails, primarily at Mississippi schools.
