Sylvia McNabb, Retired International Education Staff Member, Dies

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 20 at 11 a.m. at Hathorn Funeral Home in Columbia, Miss. for Sylvia McNabb of Sumrall, Miss., a retired University of Southern Mississippi staff member who died Monday, Sept. 15 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. She was 62.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 19 at Hathorn Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

McNabb worked in International Education at Southern Miss as a registration specialist. She retired from the university in 2010 after 24 years of service. 

Survivors include her husband, Jerry W. McNabb; sons Jeffrey W. McNabb and Chip McNabb; grandchildren Grayce McNabb, Kristyn Scarbrough and Kameron Scarbrough; a sister, Mary Jo Howes; and a brother, Bobby R. Self.
