Undergraduate Research Funding Proposal Workshops Feb. 12, 14

The Center for Undergraduate Research is holding two sessions of a workshop covering preparation and submission of proposals for competition in the Eagle Scholars Program for Undergraduate Research (Eagle SPUR), in which undergraduate students may receive up to $1,000 to support independent research conducted with a faculty mentor.

Dr. Doug Masterson in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will present the workshops on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 3:30 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 14 at 2 p.m. Both will be held in The Speaking Center in Cook Library on the Hattiesburg campus and will be simulcast to Southern Miss Gulf Coast. Participants are requested to contact Jo Ann Johnson  and joann.johnsonFREEMississippi in order to get an estimate of the number of attendees.

The deadline for proposal submission to the spring Eagle SPUR is March 3, and further information may be found at www.usm.edu/research/cur.
