The University of Southern Mississippi's College of Business co-sponsored the Minority Women Entrepreneurs' Forum on December 1, 2015 at the Island View Casino Beach Tower in Gulfport, Miss.

The free event provided an opportunity for women entrepreneurs to learn about resources available to assist in growing their businesses. Business experts and experienced entrepreneurs from across the Mississippi Gulf Coast presented about various topics at the forum. The event provided an opportunity for local women entrepreneurs to network and speak with various small business service providers.

Dr. Beth LaFleur, associate dean for the College of Business at Southern Miss, welcomed attendees to the event on behalf of the College.

The goal of the event was to empower, inspire, and instill confidence in women entrepreneurs.

The Minority Women Entrepreneurs' Forum was organized and hosted by the Magnolia Business Alliance. Other participating organizations included the Mississippi Development Authority, Minority Enterprise, NVision Solutions and Lime Pi.
